                    Exercise Tip 101

                           Go Slowly!

When it comes to exercise most people try to do too much too soon. This is what results in them getting burned out. Instead they should “Go Slow and Steady” by taking it one step at a time.  Doing this will a least get you moving and grooving forward.

 MORE Importantly:

Making your regime fully doable will give you a sense of accomplishment; therefore making it easier to strive for the number one key element. What is it? It is making your exercise regime a daily and consistent Healthy Habit.

Joey L. Dowdy’s “Sure, I’LL TAKE THE *CHANGE!”

Count It Out For Me Please!

Aw haw! I got cha! You thought this was about money didn’t you? Is it? Well, it is, but not in a typical since. What do I mean? I’m saying this is not about loose coin change but life rather, and the value Change can bring you. What value does it bring? It brings more than you might realize. In fact, “You Just Might Be Pleasantly Surprised.” Here’s why!

Have you ever thought about why things change? Or did you ever wondered or asked yourself this, “Why can’t things remain the way they are? Or return back to being the way they once were? Why do they have to change, or why do we need change?

Well the answers to these questions are simple, it’s that they can’t. Why not? It’s because *Change Has Worked Its Magic. How so?

It’s true that change has a sneaky way of slipping in the back door and saying, “Surprise! Get ready; it’s time to experience something new. Then it zaps its powerful wand and makes it happen. What happens?

 *Change Makes ThingsMove.

Actually change is movement. It is movement all dressed up in many different disguises. Here’s what else it does. Change promotes and or often provokes a new way of being, doing, or direction. It can turn a stale, stiff, and stagnant life into one that feels fresh, flexible, and much more stimulating. How can it?

Well, just keep reading and you’ll soon find out. However, you must know this, Change is not something you shouldn’t fear but rather embrace. Why? Well, Let Me Count it out for you.

CHANGE will,

Take you out of your comfort zone.

* Give you the opportunity to do something new.

*Expand your horizon.

*Make you think, step, and or more importantly live outside your box.

*Encourage you to do what you’ve always wanted to do if you dare to *CHANGE.

*Teach you to go for it & make it happen.

*Open you up to a whole new world.

*Create a fresh new start.

*Show your real capabilities.”

                *Help you break new ground.

                *Reveal territories unknown.

*Snap & Release the chains that bind so now you’re free to let go of that dead end job, abusive relationship, depressing person or situation.

                 * Set a new standard!

*Help you to focus not on the past, but the future.

So I’m kindly asking you to, *Please Take The CHANGE!

Joey L. Dowdy’s “So You Think You Have No Rhythm?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on July 1, 2012 by JJgroove01

Then ThinkAgain!

I believe there is nothing wrong with being or feeling uncoordinated, however, the problem is you don’t want to remain that way. WHY? Because life feels too darn good not be in step, or not to be able to Get Your Groove On! Know this, “Rhythm is Movement and
Movement is Life!”So if you think you have no rhythm, and you’re a live, then think again.
How so? Here’s how! You may not be aware of it but life itself has rhythm; in fact, any living thing that has a pulse has rhythm. Please know that if it has energy, a heart beat, or a pulse, it has rhythm. The late great Choreographer Bob Fosse composed a sensational song and dance montage around the concept of the rhythm life and its powerful beat. He proved that everybody has rhythm. Don’t believe me we all do? Well, see for yourself, here’s a Rhythm check list!
*We walk to a Rhythm,
*We dance to the beat of a Rhythm (Yeah? Stop! I already know what you’re thinking, that this may be questionable for some. However, it’s possible if you’re willing to learn how and commit yourself to a little practice),
*We run in step with Rhythm,
*We can feel our heart beat to a Rhythm,
*We sing in Rhythm, well, most try anyway. Note:This too may take learning how to and some practice,
*We talk in Rhythm (ever notice what happens when someone stutters, they lose the rhythm of their speech),
*We make love to a Rhythm (Agree, this needs no explanation? 🙂
*We play sports and games to a Rhythm.
As you can see the list can go on and on. Yet the important thing to remember is the next time you hear somebody say, “dude, I have no rhythm. Don’t worry about trying to explain it to them that they do, just let them read this blog.
