Short Full Body Workouts Are The Key

New Research studies show that short 30 to 40 minutes full body workouts (with little to no breaks in between) 3 – 5 days a week (like dancing, boxing, swimming, weight lifting etc) are highly effective ways to get your body in tip-top shape. Why is this. It’s because they work muscle groups in a simultaneous and productive fashion. Now here’s the even better news. Surprisingly, these short workouts are as well known to help your body burn calories, sometimes, for days after. Now doesn’t that sound like an ideal way to obtain your “Best Body Efficiency?”

Short & Sweet Can Be A Real Treat!” If you’re feeling guilty because you missed your workout today, and splurged on your Great Aunt’s Ultimate Brownies, please, don’t beat yourself up. Here’s why. Know that everyone has hits and misses, as no one is perfect! Plus, it’s only human to feel the need to treat yourself every once in a while. However, don’t give up and totally blow off working out all altogether. Remember this: A little exercise is better than none at all. FIVE STEPS To Help You Get with The Program.

1.Get Up Off Your Rump & Be Active (Dance, run, swim, walk, cook, cleaning etc.)

*Results: The sweat from these activities will help you to burn calories. Also know that a good physical work out will stimulate, rejuvenate, and elevate your mind & body.

 2. Get Rid of The Thought of You Starving Yourself.

*Results: It will cause you to eat more, as well as slow your metabolism down. It will lead to you gain weight, so instead eat!” Eat some healthy every four to five hours.

3. Get A Healthy Fab Food Plan Together. It should consist of fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains.

*Results: These food combinations provide your body with suitable nutrition that induce lasting energy.

4. Get Your Strength Training On! Make it a (2- 3 times) weekly affair. It should consist of stretching, strengthening, and toning with such things like weight lifting, yoga, pilates etc.

*Results: It will help you to build muscle mass which is also your secret weapon to burning fat, and obtaining a longer leaner physique.

5. Get The Proper Sleep (7-8 hours nightly) You Deserve!

*Results: It will refresh your metabolism in its aid to help you to lose weight. So are you ready to get with the program; and Get Your Body Back? HMM, I thought So!

The Carla Flagg Story A Girl On The Groove!

I am so excited about presenting this story to you. I’m sure you’ll find it enriching, loaded with knowledge, and inspiring. 

                         Tipped The Scales

Here it is. Carla Flagg is a 38 year old African American female Architect with a passion for dance, and a zest for life. But her long tiring work regime, and the fact that she put everyone else’s needs before her own, placed her health and physical fitness needs on a downward spiral. Then one day she realized she had lost her groove. It’s hard to believe this attractive, smart, articulate, and graceful female once tipped the scale at 300lbs. In fact she recalls being successful in all her endeavors except for one, “keeping her weight under control.”  You see, Carla like so many others have spent countless years yo-yoing going up and down the scale; just simply spinning out of control.

                        Take Back Control

Until one day she realized and then said, “I cannot continue living my life this way.”  “I need help; it’s time for a change.”  And change it was. She is now “Taking Center Stage” by getting back the control over her life. Plus she this time is no longer exclusively reconstructing fabulous buildings just for others all over the place. However, now she is ready and committed to rolling out the blue print for her own new look and life.

 Here’s another thing. Little did she know that one day her wish, “Child, I need help”, would be her command. Then suddenly opportunity came knocking, and it presented its self in ways that she could have never imagined. That’s when she met me Joey L. Dowdy creator of Joey’s World Dance Groove/Fitness/Entertainment™ and then joined my Groove Fitness Program.
