A Good Lay in The Hay, Is That Really The Hollywood Way? There is one major mistake I see so many people make coming to Hollywood? What is it? They come unprepared. There is no doubt they arrive with a dream, which is great. However, most have no real strategy for how they’ll turn that dream into a reality.  So they fall prey to attaching their belief system to age old theories. Like, some believe they’ll make it’s simply by getting a lucky break. While others think, it’s all about being at the right place at the right time. Some even think it’s all in who you know. Then there are those who believe you can skip go, head straight to the casting couch, and catch the green light by sleeping with the right producer.

Wait, don’t try to pretend like you haven’t heard that before. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say, sure, all these sound feasible. But the question is, are they sufficient enough to get you to where you want to go? I would say, “Most Definitely Not!” Yet, listed below are four tips I think will.  In fact, if applied, you shall stand out in the crowd. So Get Ready, Set, Groove!

TIP #1. Prepare! *I don’t believe in luck. Yet I do know that opportunity is very much so attracted to those who’ve done the prep work; and are ready to accept what it has to offer.

TIP #2. Deliver The Goods! * I think if you’ve got the goods ( skills, looks, talent & personality) you will mostly, at some point in your life, end up being in the right place at the appointed time.

TIP #3. Know This: Sooner or Later Things Will Happen! *There’s no doubt in my mind that you’ll get to know some important people if you do this, get really good at what you do. Then things will happen just like the late great poet Maya Angelou said.  She quotes, “Do the thing you love to do; and do them so well that others won’t be able to take their eyes off you. And all other tangible things will come as a result.”

TIP #4 Don’t Play It Cheap! *So that means you really don’t need to spend your precious time and energy trying to short-cut your way to success by lounging out on the casting couch. I mean why settle for playing it cheap when you have  talent, and I’m assuming you do? Then be the real deal, and let them shine. Know that “a good lay in the hay isn’t what will lead The way” to your Hollywood, Bollywood, or even Dollywood dreams.
