What should I eat for weight loss? What should I eat for my health? These are two frequent yet important questions people ask me all the time.

Let’s face it, there’s a truck load of information about these topics that seem to change every time we look around. Sure, there’s some really good stuff out there. Some things make good sense and others, well, you know, just seem too darn confusing. For instance most people know why we should eat, it fuels our bodies. However, who has a clue what new diet pill or liquid weight reducing shake to take? Or if any of those things really work? Which I think is doubtful. Okay, I’ll be a bit blunter.

I would personally go as far as to say; now here’s one for the record, “I know diets don’t work.” Why? It’s because if they did, everyone who ever went on one would be skinny. Hey, I thought that one would make you smile! It’s fun to have a truthful sense of humor.

However, don’t you want to know what does work? Well, it’s eating the right foods and often enough. Got it? Good!!!

Okay, now let’s get back to what should I eat? I agree information about healthy eating changes rapidly, and it can be a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with the changes. Yet I believe there is one true fact that never changes. What is it? It’s simplicity.In fact, it’s what I live by and I always suggest to other people who want to make any kind of a life style change. I advise them to just keep it simply.

Here’s why! When you attempt to change things too quickly, it can often be too drastic and overwhelming. Therefore you become influenced with trying to do too much too soon. Which we know never works. Then you’ll end up like most people, frustrated with making little to no progress at all. So, the key is to take it slowly and move one step at time.

What Should You Eat? Eating regimes are truly individual and should be base on foods you enjoy. But before you start your eating plan it’s important to first identify three key elements about food & eating.Here are the three elements. Why You Should Eat! When Should You Eat!& How Much You Should Eat!

Why You Should Eat? Eat when you are hungry and your body needs fuel. Don’t eat simply because you’re bored, stressed, or lonely. Note: Although sometimes it may feel like the taste of a good moist jelly donut or a hot mocha latte’ is your best friend after experiencing the heaviness of a stressful day or trying situation. However, do resist the temptation; “Your Waistline Will Thank You.”

When Should You Eat?
 It’s imperative you start your day with a big breakfast rather than skipping it, and then resorting to eating a big dinner later. Why? Eating a good balanced breakfast gives you energy and rejuvenates your metabolism as well it stimulates your brain. It will get you going after a long night without food by providing your body with the nutrients it needs.
Food For Thought:
It’s like having a Mercedes in your driveway you can polish it up all you want, but if you don’t put any gas in it you’re not going anywhere. Note: Many surveys show that those who usually eat a good nutritious breakfast tend to be slimmer and or weight less than those who don’t.….

How Much Should You Eat!

 It’s important to know there is always an appropriate portion size for anything you eat. It’s good to know your portion sizes then heed to what’s best without over doing. Therefore you should always know that eating smaller portions is the correct way to go.

*Try instead of skipping meals to eat some thing every four to five hours. It’ll keep your metabolism regulated and you’ll less likely feel the urge to binge or overeat later on. Especially if you are among those who tend to not eat all day. That’s why doing this and making it a practice is one of the best ways to not starve (which slows down your metabolism) your body. However, it’ll instead keep you energized and satisfied.

What Should I Eat? Basic Plan 101 ….

Eat These:

     * Whole grains: oats, whole wheat/grain breads, beans, legumes etc. Fresh fruits: berries, pears, plums, apples, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries apples etc. ….

  • Vegetables: Go green! Dark green vegetables (particularly provide you with more nutrients that produce power antioxidants) greens, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes, beans, zucchini, peppers ect.)….
  • Take a Multi vitamin for balance nutritional needs.
Protein: lean meats (chicken, beef etc.), eggs (in moderation), goat & sheep’s milk product, plain yogurt, preferably organic naturally sweeten etc…..
            Good Fats.
Fish: Mackerel, salmon, trout, herring, sardines, and halibut. Nuts, seeds, and oils, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, avocados and flax seed and cold-pressed unheated oils such as olive oil, canola oil, Sesame seed oil etc. ….
Avoid bad fats like,hydrogenated oils or trans fats, processed meats, corn syrups, saturated fat, sugar, refined carb’s, cakes, candy, pastries, cupcakes, scones, muffins and pies.
·Drink Plenty ofWater
Note: The usual recommendation is about a half gallon a day, or more especially if you are physically active and sweat more. Herbal teas and vegetable juice can count towards your daily intake and stay in the body longer.Caffeinated tea, coffee, alcohol & soda don’t count because they can lead toward dehydrating and nutrient losses. Some foods contain a lot of water; fruit can be 90 to 95 percent water. Vegetables have high content. Cooked whole grain can hold some water as well.….
